Description
A two-part book with cross wrapper resulting from a residency with the CCI – Cambridge Conservation initiative. In 2022 I was asked by Dr John Fanshawe of the CCI to work with the Museum of Zoology in Cambridge and the IUCN to look at moths that are on the brink of extinction. The Bordered Gothic is a once-common moth, small in size but exquisite in its elaborate markings. No-one seems to know quite why the moth has all but disappeared from our shores and there is no rescue plan. This little book, is intended to commemorate the passing of yet another wild neighbour. The mezzotint of the Bordered Gothic illustrated is available from the ‘Moths’ section of this page.
