This is a very large mezzotint made in response tho the tragic story of the very last Nightingale to sing in a Gloucestershire wood. The thought of a lone male bird singing hopefully, hopelessly, night after night into starry skies was more than I could bear. The plate took five months to engrave and the resulting print was exhibited at the royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2024
