Raw Material - New work from Sarah Gillespie, Bridget mcCrum and Fran Gynn
A chance to see something of the process behind the finished work of these three established artists, this exhibition features delightful, and often surprising work of an unfinished or sketchy quality. Small scale 'studies' and large scale experiments all share in common a joy in raw materials. Raw Material to mean both the physical stuff of painting and sculpture; linen, stone, paper, charcoal and pigment, and the raw material of subject matter - initial thoughts and strange attractions.

22nd-23rd May Observational Drawing Workshop
One day or two day drawing workshops at the Flavel Art Centre Dartmouth
"One minute in the life of the world is going by. Paint it as it is." Paul Cezanne
Would you like to improve your existing drawing technique? Perhaps rediscover a lost or neglected love of drawing? Over the two days we will concentrate on observation, composition and the use of tone. Participants enroling for both days can either use the Sunday to further their drawing skills learned on the Saturday, or bring in drawings and paintings they are currently working on for a 'surgery' of troubleshooting and advice.
